SALT LAKE CITY -- Electronics designers at Parvus Corp. in Salt Lake city are displaying an enhanced Improved Operator Control Panel (IOCP) at the Sea Air Space Exposition in Washington.
The IOCP unit, developed as part of the U.S. Navy's AN/USQ-113 communications upgrade for the EA-6B Prowler electronic defense warfare aircraft, has several enhancements from its 1998 design, including night-vision backlighting, MIL-STD-1553 communications protocol compatibility, and a non-glare lexan screen, Parvus officials say.
The IOCP is a PC with an x86 processor, Windows operating system, rugged PC/104 computer boards with a data zeroization module, 10BaseT Ethernet interface and 5-port hub, MIL-STD-704D power supply, audio card, 20-position keypad and joystick module, environmentally sealed 6.4-inc liquid crystal display, removable Flash disk drives, ruggedized card cage, and shock-mounted components, company officials say.
