Tower Optical Corp. in Boynton Beach, Fla., announced a product line of achromatic waveplates designed to maintain a constant retardation over a wide range of wavelengths. These waveplates provide a 23-millimeter clear aperture to accommodate lasers with large beam diameters. The new product line covers the range of 465 to 1,650 nanometers, 700 to 1,000 nanometers, and 1,200 to 1,650 nanometers. All these ranges cover ultraviolet to infrared spectra.
