Trident Systems to help data link raw sensor information

August 30, 2005

FAIRFAX, Va., 30 Aug. 2005. Scientists at Trident Systems Inc. in Fairfax, Va., are researching how to data link raw electronic and optical sensor information via legacy and emerging manned and unmanned RF communication nodes.

Trident is doing the work under terms of a $25 million small business innovative research (SBIR) grant awarded Aug. 29 from the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, N.J. The contract number is N68335-05-D-0025.

The goal of Trident's SBIR grant is not only to develop capabilities for RF bridging equipment that moves raw sensor data, but also to correlate and display the information together with command and control software.

Trident will do the work in Fairfax, Va., and will be finished in August 2010. For more information contact Trident Systems online at www.tridsys.com.
