LARGO, Md., 9 Sept. 2005. Multimax, Inc. announced today that it has won an Air Force task order to provide networking services for a squadron specializing in C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).

The task order has a potential value of some $18 million over the initial performance period and the four option periods ending in 2010. The Multimax team's services will be provided on-site at Hanscom AFB.

This contract supports the 46th Test Squadron, Detachment 1, the C4ISR development and test center (DT&E) center of excellence for the 46th Test Wing, Air Force Air Armament Center (AAC). AAC is one of four product centers of the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC).

Detachment 1 was established at Hanscom AFB, Mass., to develop and integrate an effective DT&E strategy into C4ISR acquisition programs. On behalf of the 46th Test Squadron, the Detachment plans, conducts, analyzes and reports on test and evaluation assessments of Electronic Systems Center (ESC) projects. ESC is another of the AFMC Product Centers.

Multimax teamed for this project with ManTech International Corp., a leading provider of innovative technologies and solutions for mission critical national security programs.

The order was issued to Multimax under the Air Force Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract. NETCENTS is a five-year, $9 billion acquisition initiative to provide Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies with the complete range of information technology, networking, telephony, and security services, solutions, and products.
