  • December 31, 2006 -- DDC-I announces SCORE integrated development environment for TMS320C40 DSPs
    PHOENIX, 31 Dec. 2006. DDC-I, a supplier of development tools for safety-critical applications, has announced the availability of its SCORE Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Texas Instrument's TMS320C40. The SCORE IDE enables C40 developers to take existing Ada 83 programs developed for the C40, upgrade them using a mixture of Ada 95 and Embedded C++, and deploy them on a royalty-free Ada 95 run-time system.
  • December 30, 2006 -- Fortress Technologies develops rapid response communications solution for Texas National Guard
    TAMPA, Fla., 30 Dec. 2006. Engineers at Fortress Technologies, maker of secure wireless networking solutions, have developed a next-generation Rapid Response Communications Kit for the Texas National Guard. Rapid Response Communications Kits are mobile systems that enable secure wireless communications during emergency response situations, allowing the Texas National Guard to quickly establish voice, video, and data communications in environments that have no available infrastructure.
  • December 29, 2006 -- Space Micro Inc.'s single-board computer launched in space aboard satellite
    SAN DIEGO, 29 Dec. 2006. Space Micro Inc.'s Proton100k space computer was launched successfully aboard the TacSat-2 satellite from Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops, Va. The Proton100k radiation-hardened single-board computer (RH SBC) is the instrument computer of the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) RoadRunner On-board Processing Experiment (ROPE), performing data management and processing of focal plane array data.
  • December 28, 2006 -- L-3 Communications to supply in-line network encrytor to military
    NEW YORK, 28 Dec. 2006. L-3 Communications' Communication Systems-East (L-3 CS-East) division, a supplier of secure government communication products and systems, has been awarded a five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract by the National Security Agency (NSA) to supply the Talon KOV-26 in-line network encryptor to the federal government, U.S. military, and other approved customers. The contract value is not to exceed $35 million.
  • December 27, 2006 -- U.S. Department of Homeland Security to deploy Telkonet iWire system in U.S. airports
    GERMANTOWN, Md., 27 Dec. 2006. The Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in collaboration with the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command Technology Integration Center, has completed evaluation of the powerline networking platform of Telkonet Inc. The Telkonet iWire System, which was approved for use, is scheduled for deployment within multiple Category II-IV airports starting in January 2007.
