Ethanex Energy executives to impart advantages of ethanol as military energy source

BASEHOR, Kan., 8 Dec. 2006. Ethanex Energy Inc., a renewable energy company whose mission is to become the ethanol industry's low-cost producer, will present at the second-annual Military Energy Alternatives Conference to be held in Arlington, Va., on February 19 through 21, 2007.

Al Knapp, president and CEO of Ethanex Energy Inc., and Alan Belcher, executive vice president of Technology for Ethanex Energy, will present a case study, "Capitalizing on breakthroughs in the production of ethanol: Fractionation and the application of next generation technology in alternative fuels."

This year's conference is titled "Achieving Fuel Efficiency by Utilizing Alternative Energy Sources" wand ill focus on how the Department of Defense (DOD) intends to meet the responsibilities of the Energy Policy Act and on how to achieve energy efficiency in the US Military.

"As Military fuel consumption makes the DOD the single largest consumer of energy in the US, Ethanex is pleased to have a leading voice in the conversation about the expanding use of renewable fuel and strategies to achieve energy independence," says Knapp.
