CHANTILLY, Va., 7 Feb. 2007. Blue Ridge Networks, a provider of security solutions to business and government, has installed its high-assurance devices for strong authentication and encryption into the world's largest secure VoIP network -- the satellite-based Iraq command and control network (IC2N).

A ceremony was recently held in Iraq to transfer authority over the IC2N from its U.S.-based developers to the Iraq Ministry of the Interior (MOI), as announced by The Civilian Police Assistance Training Team (CPATT).

Blue Ridge encryption devices support secure phone and email. The meshed secure VoIP capability allows each site to talk via a secure telephone to any other site, not just to its headquarters.

This is the first large-scale network to be transferred to MOI control, and provides another success story in the ongoing process of nation building. The network has proven to be so valuable that the MOI decided to keep it relatively unchanged.
