AR Modular RF introduces 50-Watt, 3.4-to-3.7 GHz amplifier

BOTHELL, Wash., 4 May 2007. AR Modular RF in Bothell, Wash., is offering the Model CMS1080 solid-state LDMOS power amplifier module as a power option for the wireless broadband network.

BOTHELL, Wash., 4 May 2007. AR Modular RF in Bothell, Wash., is offering the Model CMS1080 solid-state LDMOS power amplifier module (related product) as a power option for the wireless broadband network.

The device, which meets WiMAX (802.16) specifications (related story), is a 50-watt, 47 dBm linear power amplifier module covers the 3.4-3.7 GHz frequency range. It has a scalable gain of 30 to 50dB and can be modified to meet various OFDM and NPR requirements.

The amplifier is protected from thermal overload, over power, over voltage and wrong voltage polarity and contains an internal isolator. Model CMS1080 is part of AR's family of power amplifier modules for wireless applications such as CDMA, HDTV, and WiMAX.
