Hittite Microwave to license Northrop Grumman's line of MMIC devices

CHELMSFORD, Mass., 20 Oct. 2007. Hittite Microwave Corp. in Chelmsford, Mass., has agreed to license Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) devices from the Northrop Grumman Space Technology sector in Redondo Beach, Calif.

CHELMSFORD, Mass., 20 Oct. 2007. Hittite Microwave Corp. in Chelmsford, Mass., has agreed to license Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) devices from the Northrop Grumman Space Technology sector in Redondo Beach, Calif.

The two companies entered a strategic agreement for Northrop Grumman to license to Hittite a specified list of standard products from the Northrop Grumman Velocium line of MMICs. Hittite will become the worldwide supplier for the Velocium products.

The license includes commercial products that operate at frequencies through 86 GHz that are for millimeter wave radios and other electronic systems. Hittite will use Northrop Grumman as a foundry supplier for Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) wafers used in the licensed products.

Hittite will also have preferred access to Northrop Grumman's advanced semiconductor process technology for new Hittite products. For more information contact Hittite Microwave online at www.hittite.com.
