C&K Components offers miniature slide switches for space-constrained applications

NEWTON, Mass., 18 Dec. 2007. C&K Components in Newton, Mass., is offering a miniature slide switches with low profiles called the JSM Series. The one pole surface mount slide switches feature an actuation height of 2.5 millimeters.

Available in single-, double-, and triple-throw configurations with momentary and maintained contacts, the high-reliability slide switches are offered with "G" and "J" surface mount terminations.

The JSM Series slide switches are for applications where space is at a premium, including mobile telecommunications, computers, and remote-control equipment.

The JSM Series miniature slide switches are lead free and process compatible. The switches feature IR re-flows to 260 degrees Celsius solder profile, an electrical rating of 0.3 amps at 4 volts DC and a minimum electrical life of 10,000 cycles.

Actuator travel is 2 millimeters. Designed for an operating temperature range from -10 to 60 C, the slide switches are capable of withstanding shock and vibration of 10Hz to 55Hz 1min sweep. The devices are available in tape and reel packaging.
