German Ministry of Defense selects EONIC signals acquistion system

December 24, 2007

Delft, The Netherlands, 24 Dec. 2007. EONIC B.V.'s SR-5124 Converged Multi-Channel Signals Acquisition System has been selected by the Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung (BWB) of the German Ministry of Defense to upgrade the existing ELINT and COMINT infrastructure. The upgrade will be conducted in partnership with Schönhofer Sales and Engineering GmbH (SSE) in Siegburg, Germany.

The SR-5124 is the first SIGINT system that integrates ELINT and COMINT that captures radio, satcom, telemetry, and radar signals simultaneously and synchronously. This unique combination of ELINT and COMINT provides novel approaches to situational awareness. It also simplifies lifecycle management and reduces the cost of training, spares, and maintenance. The highly integrated nature of the SR-5124 also reduces the need for physical space, always a critical issue in intelligence vehicles.

The SR-5124 offers exceptional dynamic range, simultaneous recording of multiple channels, playback while recording, and compatibility with existing signal analysis tools. It enables a combination of video baseband, radio communicatons, satellite communications, and radar signals to be detected, monitored, and recorded simultaneously on a single system.

The SR-5124 targets intelligence organizations who are replacing their legacy tape recorders. One SR-5124 typically replaces 4 to 8 tape recorders plus the associated user control software and analog filters, saving space and reducing logistical complexities.
