Carlo Gavazzi introduces rugged enclosure for temperature, vibration, and dust extremes

February 28, 2008

BROCKTON, Mass., 28 Feb. 2008. Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions in Brockton, Mass., is introducing the 715 series of re-circulating air-cooled rugged ATR enclosures to protect commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) printed circuit cards deployed in extreme temperature, shock, vibration, humidity, and contaminant extremes.

The 715 series re-circulating air-cooling system functions as a typical conduction-cooled system on the outside, and uses a re-circulating fan on the inside to transfer circuit card heat to the conducting walls.

The conducting walls are engineered thermal cores providing maximum heat transfer to the exterior surfaces of the system. For high-dust environments, the 715 series does not draw outside air in to cool the system.

Featuring a rugged, brazed aluminum frame construction, the 715 series is available with scalable power options and can be configured to custom form factor requirements. For more information contact Carlo Gavazzi online at www.gavazzi-computing.com.
