Business venture offers federal agencies secure electronic data destruction, electronics recycling

March 26, 2008

FREDERICK, Md., 26 March 2008. With federal agencies and the private sector being required to place more focus on electronic data destruction and electronic recycling, a new business partnership has begun to offer these services. e-EndUSA, a Maryland-based company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Engineering Services Network Inc. (ESN), a SDVOB, located in Arlington, Va.

e-EndUSA specializes in sanitation and destruction of electronic data containing media and the reuse and recycling of end-of-life electronics. ESN provides federal agencies a variety of services through a GSA Vets GWAC.

Through their partnership with e-EndUSA, ESN will now provide to federal agencies the ability to properly manage the required tasks of secure data sanitation and destruction for all media containing electronic data. This includes media such as hard drives, magnetic tape, and optical discs.

Additionally, electronics that have reached the end of their useful life can now be safely recycled through e-EndUSA's recycling facility. For added security, dealing with data sanitation and destruction, e-EndUSA now employs proprietary, compact, and portable degausser and shredder, which quietly operate within a client's or federal agency's facility.

With the increasing focus on data security, identity theft, protection against potential terrorist threats, plus environmentally sound solutions, the federal government has tightened their regulations on proper data destruction, reuse, and recycling for end-of-life electronics. Executive Order 13101, Greening the Government through Waste Prevention, Recycling and Federal Acquisition, promotes green practices and urges agency executives to make waste prevention part of their daily operations.

The e-EndUSA/ESN partnership will help federal agencies comply with DOD, GSA, EPA, and NIST requirements.

Says Steve Chafitz, president of e-EndUSA: "Combining our ability to deal with end-of-life electronics and ESN's expertise in IT services, we can help the EPA and GSA implement environmentally sound solutions for federal agencies. This will protect our environment and stretch scarce budget dollars."
