LaBarge wins $1.1 million contract from Northrop Grumman for G/ATOR radar system

ST. LOUIS, 26 Aug. 2008. LaBarge Inc. won a $1.1 million contract from Northrop Grumman to provide electronic assemblies for its new Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR). ). G/ATOR consolidates the missions of five Marine Corps radars into a single multirole radar system. The company expects to receive follow-on orders.

ST. LOUIS, 26 Aug. 2008.LaBarge Inc. won a $1.1 million contract from Northrop Grumman to provide electronic assemblies for its new Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR). G/ATOR consolidates the missions of five Marine Corps radars into a single multirole radar system. The company expects to receive follow-on orders.

G/ATOR is part of a portfolio of programs managed by the Program Executive Officer Land Systems that will provide the Marines with enhanced capabilities to detect, track, and provide target quality data to engage hostile aircraft, cruise missiles, unmanned air vehicles, rockets, mortars, and artillery. G/ATOR will also provide robust air traffic control capabilities to enhance the safety of Marine Corps air operations.

Production on the contract began this summer at LaBarge's Tulsa operation and is expected to continue through January 2009.
