Parvus to supply flight computer avionics for Aurora GoldenEye 80 UAVs

SALT LAKE CITY, 9 Sept. 2008.Parvus Corp. in Salt Lake City will supply small rugged common mission computer (ACMC) avionics for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Aurora Flight Sciences in Manassas, Va.

The Parvus flight computers, based on the company's commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) DuraCOR 820 airborne computers, will go aboard the Aurora GoldenEye 80, an advanced vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV aircraft designed to carry advanced sensor payloads for homeland security and battlefield operations.

The computing architecture for this Parvus subsystem is based on a low-power mobile Pentium microprocessor, solid state memory, Linux operating system, military-grade power supply, and peripheral and network inputs. No financial terms of the subcontracting agreement between Parvus and Aurora were disclosed.
