RESTON, Va., 6 Oct. 2008. Officials at Raytheon Technical Services Co. LLC (RTSC) announced the opening of a Warfighter Support Center depot repair facility in Louisville, Ky., to support the U.S. Army's Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) program.

The 135,000-square-foot center will employ 75 people providing logistics, technical support, and depot maintenance services.

"The Warfighter Support Center will improve service to soldiers by increasing turnaround times for repairable items," says Mike Edwards, an RTSC vice president, and program manager of the Warrior Training Alliance (WTA) which facilitates execution of the Warfighter FOCUS contract. "The Center's overall goal is to get equipment back to warfighters faster so they can complete their valuable training operations."

The Warfighter FOCUS program is a U.S. Army program under the Program Executive Office for Training, Simulation, and Instrumentation to consolidate operations and maintenance, systems integration, and engineering support services for the Army's live, virtual, and constructive training systems.

The Raytheon-led Warrior Training Alliance includes Computer Sciences Corp., General Dynamics Information Technology, MPRI, and more than 100 other companies.

RTSC provides technology solutions for defense, federal, and commercial customers worldwide. The Raytheon subsidiary specializes in mission support (including installation, integration, maintenance, training, and logistics support), counterproliferation and counterterrorism, homeland security solutions, base and range operations, and customized engineering and manufacturing.
