Electro Standards Laboratories receives International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration

CRANSTON, R.I., 13 March 2009. Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), a milspec custom cable assembly provider in Cranston, R.I., has earned ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registration with the U.S. Department of State.

ITAR regulates the manufacture, export, and transfer of defense information, goods, and services.

ESL provides advanced controls for rotary and linear motors with applications to aircraft launch for next-generation aircraft carriers.

ESL also provides specialty data communication switches, milspec custom cable assemblies, and ruggedized interface converters for government agencies and defense contractors.

This registration serves as a precondition to submitting applications for export licenses and is an component of the ESL export compliance program.
