CACI wins $38 million to provide program management support for U.S. Army Intelligence System

April 10, 2009

ARLINGTON, Va., 10 April 2009. CACI International Inc. won a $38 million prime contract to provide program management and technical engineering services support to the U.S. Army's Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A). CACI received the three-year award (one base year and two option years) under its Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract with the Army.

The DCGS-A integrates intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance data within a single system to streamline the Army's ability to process and disseminate this data to commanders in the field. The intelligence information enables field commanders to gain a better situational understanding of their environment such as by visualizing and analyzing imminent threats, predicting threat intentions, and developing countermeasures.

CACI's DCGS-A team, which includes incumbent subcontractors, will develop and integrate software, and provide lifecycle management.

According to CACI president and CEO Paul Cofoni, "This new award with the U.S. Army expands our support for the military's most important tactical missions and enables us to increase our role in directly serving America's warfighters."
