Sentinel Corp. combines with 24/7 Solutions to boost counter terrorism intelligence IT

ALEXANDRIA, Va., 17 April 2009. RF and network centric warfare specialist Sentinel Corp. in Alexandria, Va., is acquiring intelligence information technology (IT) firm 24/7 Solutions in McLean, Va., to create a government services company that specializes in counter-terrorism, intelligence analysis, intelligence IT, and technical support.

ALEXANDRIA, Va., 17 April 2009. RF and network centric warfare specialist Sentinel Corp. in Alexandria, Va., is acquiring intelligence information technology (IT) firm 24/7 Solutions in McLean, Va., to create a government services company that specializes in counter terrorism intelligence, intelligence analysis, intelligence IT, and technical support.

The acquisition will enable Sentinel to enhance its military system expertise by providing counter-terrorism intelligence IT support, intelligence analysis, technical operations, and IT, as well as management and technical support.

"24/7 is a attractive company to join forces with Sentinel and we, in turn, bring to their customers a broad array of engineering and information technology services to the government and military," says Darrell Crapps, president and chief executive officer of Sentinel. "Both of our companies have strong relationships with some of the nation's top government and military organizations."

Crapps will be president and chief executive officer of the combined company, while Dana Madalon, 24/7's chief executive officer and president, and Barbara Jennings, executive vice president, will stay on as vice presidents where they will handle day-to-day operations of 24/7 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sentinel. 24/7 Solutions, a 50-plus employee company, will remain in McLean and Sentinel will remain in Alexandria.

24/7, which serves the U.S. intelligence community, has a staff with former careers with the CIA, FBI, State Department, Director of National Intelligence, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and National Reconnaissance Office.

Sentinel provides products and services related to chemical and biological defense and sensor networks, acquisition and test engineering, electromagnetics and spectrum engineering, and software engineering and information technology support
