BEDFORD, Mass., 19 May 2009. Reveal Imaging Technologies Inc., a developer of threat detection solutions, won a $20 million delivery order from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for its CT-80 DR, a next-generation explosives detection system (EDS) designed to be smaller and less expensive than other EDS systems on the market.
"We've worked closely with TSA over the years to create innovative solutions to real world problems," says Michael Ellenbogen, president and CEO of Reveal. "That requires us to really listen to our customers and understand their needs, then push the envelope to deliver."
The core design elements of Reveal's products are low false alarms, high throughput, enhanced imaging/detection, and small footprint, says a representative.
"With the CT-80DR, we are uniquely positioned in the market," continues Ellenbogen. "Close collaboration with our customers has resulted in more efficient, secure, and affordable EDS, and that translates into safer air travel for the flying public."
