Rugged server family for military computer applications introduced by Themis

FREMONT, Calif., 8 July 2009. Themis Computer in Fremont, Calif., is introducing a family of high performance rugged servers for mission-critical military computer applications. Themis's XR3 series of Rugged Enterprise Servers (RES) combine Intel Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors with a ruggedized design.

The RES-12XR3 , RES-22XR3, and the RES-32XR3 rugged server products blend processor technologies with Themis's proprietary thermal and mechanical design, and support the Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows software operating systems.

Offered in compact, 1RU, 2RU and 3RU in 20-inch aluminum chassis, these servers have 144 gigabytes of memory, as many as eight lockable and removable drives, hot swappable fans, single or redundant power supply options, and optional front panel filters.
