Tactical radio for civil and military communications introduced by Datron

VISTA, Calif., 16 Aug. 2009. Datron World Communications Inc. in Vista, Calif., is introducing the Guardian II series of portable radios, with digital and analog communications for military radio, first responder, federal agency, and public safety applications.

The tactical radio for civil and military communications has keypad programming, interoperability with all radio communications frequency bands, audio quality using the AMBE +2 vocoder, and P25 digital and analog communications.


The Guardian II tri-band portable offers a solution when several agencies operating on different frequencies are deployed. The tri-band and single band VHF & UHF radios include APCO P25 trunking, FIPS certified encryption, and an internal GPS receiver. All radios are IP67 submersible rated.
