CRYSTEK voltage controlled oscillator radio and base station applications

October 26, 2009

FORT MYERS, Fla., – 26 Oct. 2009. – Crystek released a new CRBV55CW-0500-1000 RedBox VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) that operates from 500 MHz to 1,000 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5 to18 volts.

The CRBV55CW-0500-1000 RedBox VCO is for applications such as radio equipment, base stations, telecommunications, computers, and other electronic applications.

This VCO features a typical phase noise of -104 dBc/Hz @ 10KHz offset with output power typically at +7 dBm.

Crystek's RedBox line comprises VCOs enclosed in an aluminum enclosure with SMA connectors, which enables integration of the VCO into any application as an easy, plug-and-play option, company officials say.

The model CRBV55CW-0500-1000 features an input voltage of 12 volts, with a maximum current consumption of 20 mA. Pulling and Pushing are minimized to 4.0 MHz and 2.0 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is -5 dBc typical.
