Raytheon to deliver combat training solutions to U.S. armed forces in Kuwait

RESTON, Va., 6 Oct. 2009. Raytheon Company has won a contract to improve, deliver, and maintain an advanced combat training program for U.S. Armed Forces and coalition partners in Kuwait.

The multiple-year contract, which begins this month, is awarded through the U.S. Third Army Command. The base contract is valued at $44 million and is part of the Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) program.

"We will support all training and training-related tasks for the U.S. military to prepare warfighters," says Mike Edwards, a Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC vice president and program manager of Warfighter FOCUS. "We have been providing training and training support to the U.S. Army's combat training centers for nearly two decades. We plan to provide the same flexibility, innovation, and quality service to our customers in Third Army."

The Raytheon-led Warrior Training Alliance includes teammates Computer Sciences Corp., General Dynamics Information Technology, MPRI, and more than 100 other companies.
