Conductive Inkjet launches online circuit prototype service, provides flexible printed circuits

CAMBRIDGE, England, 18 Jan. 2010. Conductive Inkjet Technology Ltd., the U.K.-based pioneer of inkjet printed electronic circuits, has launched a new online circuit prototype service. Inkjetflex.com offers a rapid turnaround service to order prototype quantities of single-sided flexible printed circuits on polyester films.

Conductive Inkjet Technology (CIT) formed the InkJetFlex.com manufacturing service to give customers access to its digital roll-to-roll circuit printing facility. This portal has been conceived to appeal to an audience working on new product design where turnaround time and cost are key requirements, explains a representative. The service provides a design engineer with the ability to try out new circuit designs rapidly, at a price point of roughly $40 per square foot of prototype circuit.

From a design engineering standpoint, because CIT produces prototypes using a full-scale production system, the developer can progress designs with the knowledge that the same manufacturing process can be used for the subsequent high-volume product launch.

For more information on CIT and their products, services and technologies see www.conductiveinkjet.com.
