Lockheed Martin wins contract to provide common cockpit avionics for Navy helicopters

OWEGO, N.Y., 3 Jan. 2010. The Lockheed Martin Corp. Systems Integration-Owego segment in Owego, N.Y., will provide common cockpit helicopter avionics technology for the U.S. Navy MH-60S and MH-60R military helicopters under terms of an $82 million Navy contract.

OWEGO, N.Y., 3 Jan. 2010. The Lockheed Martin Corp. Systems Integration-Owego segment in Owego, N.Y., will provide common cockpithelicopter avionics technology for the U.S. Navy MH-60S and MH-60R military helicopters under terms of an $82 million Navy contract.

Lockheed Martin is providing common cockpits for the MH-60S Lot 12 aircraft and MH-60R Lot 8 helicopters. The contract was announced 30 Dec.

The common cockpit avionics for the helicopters are based on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) displays, data-entry devices, audio management system, and dual-redundant flight-management computer from Lockheed Martin–Owego.
