Fiber-coupled diode laser module for laser pumping and medical applications introduced by DILAS

March 9, 2010

Posted by John Keller

MAINZ, Germany, 9 March 2010. DILAS in Mainz, Germany, is introducing a bright conduction-cooled fiber-coupled diode laser module for a wide variety of applications that range from fiber laser pumping to micro-materials processing to medical uses.

The laser module is based on diode laser bars that provides as much as 40 Watts output power from a 100-micron fiber core at a wavelength of 976 nanometers with a numerical aperture smaller than 0.22.

DILAS has achieved test results with wall-plug efficiency of greater than 40 percent at operating current. The electrically isolated small single-bar laser package measures 70 by 30 by 17 millimeters,.

The laser power from the fiber-coupled module comes from a non-detachable fiber core terminated with a standard SMA 905 connector or cleaved fiber end. For more information contact DILAS online at www.dilas.com.
