PORTLAND, Ore., 20 July 2010. FLIR Systems Inc. won a $14.1 million delivery order from STARA Technologies Inc. for its Star SAFIRE III and Star SAFIRE HD stabilized multi-sensor systems to support the rapid fielding of the Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS). The units delivered under this order will provide Force Protection capabilities to support U.S. Army activities in Afghanistan.
Work on the delivery order will begin immediately and be performed in FLIR's Wilsonville, Ore., production facility.
