OpenVPX conduction cooled PCI Express cable link boards introduced by PCI Systems for VPX test and measurement

LAUREL, Md., 30 Aug. 2010. PCI Systems Inc. in Laurel, Md., is introducing OpenVPX conduction-cooled PCI Express cable link boards to help embedded computing engineers design rugged conduction-cooled embedded systems. The PCI Express x4 and x8 cable adapters are for high-speed applications such as video, imaging, and audio devices for test and measurement of add-on boards in a conduction-cooled chassis.

PCI Systems 3U VPX conduction-cooled x4-x8 host cable adapter installs into a VPX CPU slot. The adapter board complies with VITA 46 CPU slot standards, with power on/cable present. It contains two PCI Express x4 cable connectors on the front panel. The VPX x4 host adapter extends the PCI Express bus to a downstream VPX system.
