FireWire cable for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter provided by Gore under partnership with A. E. Petsche

LANDENBERG, Pa., 16 Sept. 2010. Avionics integrators at A. E. Petsche Co. in Arlington, Texas, needed FireWire cable products for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program -- the next-generation U.S. strike fighter aircraft for the Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. They found their solution from W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. in Landenberg, Pa. Petsche manages requirements of all F-35 program partners for stocking levels and distribution. FireWire, also known as IEEE 1394, is a serial bus interface standard for high-speed communications and isochronous real-time data transfer.
