  • January 1, 2011 -- DOD SATCOM mission planning follow-on contract won by ARINC
    ANNAPOLIS, Md., 1 Jan. 2011. ARINC Engineering Services, LLC has retained its role as technical support provider to USSTRATCOM for the joint planning and management of satellite communications (SATCOM) resources of the U.S. Department of Defense. Under a follow-on Air Force contract, ARINC will continue support and development work on the Joint Satellite Communications Management and Planning System (JSMPS) and the related Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST).
  • January 2, 2011 -- BAE Systems to develop electronic warfare machine learning to jam enemy adaptive communications automatically
    ARLINGTON, Va., 2 Jan. 2011. Electronic warfare experts at the BAE Systems National Security Solutions segment in Burlington, Mass., will develop electronic warfare machine learning to jam enemy adaptive communications automatically under terms of an $8.4 million research contract announced last week from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, Va.  
  • January 3, 2011 -- Elbit Systems acquires Brazilian Companies
    HAIFA, Israel, 3 Jan. 2011. Elbit Systems Ltd. has acquired the Brazilian companies, Ares Aeroespecial e Defesa S.A. and Periscopio Equipamentos Optronicos S.A. The acquisition was accomplished in a series of transactions totaling tens of millions Brazilian Reals.
  • January 4, 2011 -- Kollmorgen gets another contract to provide sensor masts for U.S. Navy submarines
    WASHINGTON, 4 Jan. 2011. Kollmorgen Electro-Optical in Northampton, Mass., will provide the U.S. Navy with five Universal Modular Mast (UMM) systems for submarines under terms of a $14.7 million contract announced Monday by U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington. It is the second multimillion-dollar contract to Kollmorgen for submarine sensor masts within a week's time.
