  • January 10, 2011 -- Mentor Graphics works with NASA to design, develop Precision Rad-Tolerant for advanced radiation effects mitigation
    WILSONVILLE, Ore., 10 Jan. 2011. Mentor Graphics Corp. developed its Precision Rad-Tolerant FPGA design software for aerospace and high-reliability applications with guidance from NASA officials. The company's synthesis-based radiation effects mitigation solution is designed to reduce the risk of functionality problems including soft errors caused by single event upset (SEU) and single event transient (SET) disruptions. Initial support is available for SRAM, anti-fuse, and flash-based devices from Actel and Xilinx.
  • January 11, 2011 -- 18-bit high-reliability A/D converter for industrial and automotive applications introduced by Linear
    MILPITAS, Calif., 11 Jan. 2011. Linear Technology Corp. in Milpitas, Calif., is introducing the LTC2379-18 serial 18-bit, 1.6-megasamples-per-second SAR analog to digital converter for high performance, high-reliability industrial, automotive, and medical applications. The LTC2379-18 operates over temperatures from -40 to 125 degrees Celsius, and achieves 101dB signal-to-noise ratio and -118dB total harmonic distortion while supporting a differential plus-or-minus 5-volt input range.   
  • January 12, 2011 -- Rugged circuit board connectors introduced by Amphenol for power bus applications
    SIDNEY, N.Y., 12 Jan. 2011. Amphenol Industrial in Sidney, N.Y., is introducing three compact, high-amperage, ROHS-compliant RADSOK printed circuit board connectors for power bus applications such as high-power bus assembly utilities, power-to-board servers, power-to-box servers, and battery power/chargers for electric vehicles.  
  • January 13, 2011 -- Rugged embedded computing system for avionics and vetronics applications introduced by Curtiss-Wright
    SAN DIEGO, 13 Jan. 2011. Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing (CWCEC) in San Diego is introducing the rugged MPMC-9341 four-slot OpenVPX-based multi-platform mission computer for aerospace and defense applications ranging from benign laboratory to deployed military avionics and vetronics environments.  
  • January 13, 2011 -- MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus PMC that combines enhanced-bit-rate and traditional 1553 introduced by DDC
    BOHEMIA, N.Y., 13 Jan. 2011. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the BU-65580MX PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) that combines enhanced-bit-rate MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus interfaces for embedded and laboratory avionics databus applications.
