  • January 15, 2011 -- Rugged compact tablet computer released by DRS Tactical Systems
    PARSIPPANY, N.J., 15 JAN. 2011. DRS Tactical Systems Group unveiled its newest ARMOR rugged mobile computer, the ARMOR X7 compact tablet. This small mobile computer is specifically-designed for mission-critical tasks that require connectivity, hand-held mobility, ease of use and the durability to support all-weather operations.   
  • January 15, 2011 -- Datalink interface from Parvus selected for U.S. Navy JPALS communications
    CEDAR RAPIDS, 15 Jan. 2011. Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL) selected Parvus Corp. in Salt Lake City to supply 53 DuraCOR 810 mission computer subsystems in support of the Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) Increment 1 program.
  • January 16, 2011 -- Armored 18 GHz low-loss RF coaxial cable assemblies introduced by Crystek
    FORT MYERS, Fla., 16 Jan. 2011. Crystek Corp. in Fort Myers, Fla., is introducing ruggedized versions of its LL142 low-loss RF cable assemblies by incorporating a spiraled stainless steel casing and extra fortification with a Neoprene jacket to eliminate failures caused by cable flexion and compression.

    DURHAM, N.C., 18 Jan. 2011. Cree Inc. in Durham, N.C., is introducing a silicon carbide power metal oxide silicon field-effect transistor (MOSFET) power electronics device that can help design engineers develop high-voltage circuits with fast switching speeds and low switching losses in industrial power applications such as high-voltage power supplies and power conditioning.

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., 19 Jan. 2011. GE Intelligent Platforms in Charlottesville, Va., is introducing a family of rugged, off-the-shelf embedded computing systems for military aircraft and land vehicles, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), manned and unmanned ground vehicles, and launch vehicles.
