  • June 23, 2011 -- New AFDX product family announced by TTTech
    PARIS, 23 June 2011. TTTech officials announced the launch of the company's new Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX) product family at the Paris Air Show this week. The AFDX line is compatible with  TTTech's deterministic aerospace data bus solution products  -- such as TTP and TTEthernet.
  • June 22, 2011 -- Airbus takes big lead over Boeing in Paris Air Show passenger jet sales: 452 for Airbus, 142 for Boeing
    PARIS, 22 June, 2011. Even though the Paris Air Show -- and its alternate-year sibling the Farnborough International Airshow -- offer a dizzying variety of new aircraft, aviation products, and major business transactions, the main attraction of these international events is the competition for passenger jet sales between aerospace giants Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle, and Airbus in Toulouse, France. For this year in Paris, many of the industry experts predicted Airbus would come out on top of this annual grudge match before an international audience. It is looking like Airbus will prevail in the Paris Boeing-Airbus jet sales competition this year, but I had no idea it would be by this much. 
  • June 22, 2011 -- Airbus takes orders for 187 passenger jetliners Wednesday, bringing 2011 Paris Air Show total to 452
    PARIS, 22 June 2011. European passenger jet manufacturer Airbus of Toulouse, France, took orders for 187 passenger aircraft today at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France, bringing the company's total aircraft sales at the 2011 Paris Air Show to 452. Aircraft involved are the Airbus A320 and A319 families. the aviation companies involved in the deals are Aviation Lease & Finance Co. (ALAFCO) in Kuwait City, Kuwait; LAN Airlines in Santiago, Chile; Republic Airways Holdings Inc. in Indianapolis; and AviancaTaca Holding Co. in Bogota, Colombia.
  • June 22, 2011 -- Sukhoi to launch business jet version of SuperJet 100
    PARIS AIR SHOW BLOG, 22 June 2011. Officials at Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and Alenia Aeronautica, announced this week at the Paris Air Show that the new business jet model of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional line will kick off its run at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) show in October. Anything regarding the Superjet creates a lot of buzz, such as when the Superjet 100 was doing its fly over this week at the show.
  • June 22, 2011 -- NEXIS EFB with ADS-B technology to fly on A320
    PARIS AIR SHOW BLOG, 22 June 2011. The new class 3 electronic flight bag (EFB) from Astronautics Corporation of America -- the NEXIS -- now has a launch operator that will first use the NEXIS on the A320 aircraft, said Eyton Zelazo, business development manager at Astronautics, today at the Paris Air Show. Astronautics is demonstrating the NEXIS at Hall 6, Booth A32 .
