  • June 22, 2011 -- GECI Aviation chooses avionics suite from Cobham for new Skylander SK 105 commuter turboprop aircraft
    PARIS, 22 June 2011. Aircraft systems integrators at GECI Aviation of Metz, France, needed an integrated avionics suite for the company's new Skylander SK 105 commuter turboprop aircraft, which is due for government certification and first delivery in 2013. They found their solution from Cobham Commercial Systems in Mineral Wells, Texas. Cobham made the announcement today at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France.
  • June 22, 2011 -- ADS-B capability, new avionics to be added to AgustaWestland’s AW139 to get new
    PARIS, 22 June 2011. Officials at AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, announced at the Paris Air Show that the company's AW139 helicopter will be getting a plethora of new avionics and flight technology such as Traffic Collision Avoidance System II (TCAS II), enhanced navigation capabilities, new helicopter deck clearances, and additional icing clearances. Company engineers also are in the process of obtaining certification of a satellite based augmentation system (SBAS) capability as well as Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out system for the AW139.
  • June 22, 2011 -- Bombardier inks deals to sell 36 jetliners and passenger jets this week at Paris, options on 26 more
    PARIS, 22 June 2011. Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal, the Canadian designer of small passenger and business jets, has received orders for 36 commercial and business jet aircraft this week, as well as options and purchase rights for another 26 aircraft, at the Paris Air show in Le Bourget, France. Aircraft involved in the sales are the Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets, the CSeries passenger jetliner. 
  • June 22, 2011 -- Russian airline UTair to buy 40 Boeing 737 passenger jetliners; Boeing Paris aircraft sales stands at 142
    PARIS, 22 June 2011. Russian airline and aviation services company UTair Aviation in Khanty Mansiysk, Russia, will buy 40 Boeing 737-900ER and 33 737-800 medium-range passenger jetliners, officials of the Boeing Co. Commercial Airplanes segment in Seattle announced Wednesday morning at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France. The latest aircraft order, by rough count, brings Boeing's total aircraft sales at the 2011 show to 142 -- 45 of them widebodies. The UTair deal is Boeing's first of the day, with more sales expected.
  • June 22, 2011 -- Boeing names electronic subsystems suppliers for Air Force KC-46 aerial refueling tanker aircraft
    ST. LOUIS, 22 June 2011. Honeywell Aerospace, Northrop Grumman Corp., Raytheon Co., and Rockwell Collins are among the companies providing electronic subsystems and components for the future U.S. Air Force Boeing KC-46 aerial refueling tanker. Officials from the The Boeing Co. Defense, Space & Security segment in St. Louis made the announcement today during the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France. Electronics suppliers for the KC-46 include Honeywell Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, Rockwell Collins, DRS Technologies, and Woodward Inc.
