  • December 19, 2011 -- General Dynamics completes tender offer for Force Protection
    FALLS CHURCH, Va., Dec 19, 2011. General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) announced the successful completion of its tender offer to purchase all of the outstanding shares of common stock of Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRPT), for a price of $5.52 per share in cash. The offer and withdrawal rights expired, as scheduled, on Friday, December 16, 2011.
  • December 15, 2011 -- Cassidian signs simulation contract with Spanish Army
    Dec. 15, 2011. Cassidian Spain recently signed a contract for the development of a new constructive simulator architecture for the Spanish Army.
  • December 14, 2011 -- General Dynamics JTRS HMS Rifleman Radios complete formal operational testing
    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 14, 2011. The JTRS HMS AN/PRC-154 Rifleman radio by General Dynamics C4 Systems completed its Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) during the U.S. Army’s recently concluded Network Integration Evaluation at Fort Bliss, Texas. The Rifleman radio, one of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack, Small Form Fit (HMS) family of radios, is the first JTRS radio to use the Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) to enable secure networked communications among platoon, squad and team-level soldiers and their leaders.
  • December 14, 2011 -- Japanese troops conclude Patriot test firings
    TEWKSBURY, Mass., Dec. 14, 2011. The Japanese Air Self Defense Forces (JASDF), operating Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) Patriot Configuration-3 systems, concluded its annual training exercise at Fort Bliss, Texas. The exercise included target engagement and successful test firings of the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System in tactical mission configurations.
