SUNNYVALE, Calif., 10 April 2011. CTT Inc. in Sunnyvale, Calif., is introducing a solid-state RF and microwave power amplifier that operates from 6 to 18 GHz for wideband electronic warfare jamming applications on surface ships and aircraft, as well as for next-generation jamming designs. The gallium nitride (GaN) -based power amplifier is a monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) with efficiency, high operating temperature range, and small size, CTT officials say.

The device is for wideband electronic warfare jamming applications on surface ships and aircraft, as well as for next-generation jamming designs. The gallium nitride (GaN) -based power amplifier is a monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) with efficiency, high operating temperature range, and small size, CTT officials say.The power amplifier offers 40 Watts output, a minimum of 46 decibels of maximum gain, plus-or-minus 2.5 decibels of gain flatness, and noise figure of 8 decibels. Typical power saturation of a minimum of 4.5 decibels, and 46 decibels typical.

CTT Model Number AGM/180-4646 requires 36 Volts DC and 6.6 amps typical of DC current. The device measures 4.14 by 3 by 0.68 inches. For more information contact CTT online at www.cttinc.com.
