2U rugged rackmount computer chassis for industrial computing in severe environments introduced by Advantech

TAIPEI, Taiwan, 22 May 2011. Advantech Industrial Computer in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the HPC-7280 2U rugged rackmount computer server for severe-environment industrial computing applications such as surveillance, database processing, firewalls, networking, and data processing. The rugged server supports form factors ranging from ATX, to CEB, to EATX, and features eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap hard drives with a maximum capacity of 16 terabytes.

Advantech Industrial Computer in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the HPC-7280 2U rugged rackmount computer server for severe-environment industrial computing applications such as surveillance, database processing, firewalls, networking, and data processing. The rugged server supports form factors ranging from ATX, to CEB, to EATX, and features eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap hard drives with a maximum capacity of 16 terabytes.The rackmount rugged computer has an 800-Watt redundant power supply and power distribution board, and supports three hot-swap 8038 fans and an optional riser card. A front-bezel lock secures the rugged server, and one USB port and one slim ODD bay are located on the front panel, as well as LED indicators to monitor LAN, power and HDD status.The HPC-7280 has three full-height/full-length expansion slot boards available through riser cards. Users can choose two PCI Extended and one PCI Express cards, six low-profile PCI Express expansion cards, or traditional basic I/O cards.
