It is the first use of Selex's Seaspray 7500E radar on persistent surveillance aerostats. The AESA radar will provide wide area surveillance and deliver long range Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI) capability for border surveillance. The Seaspray’s solid-state design will enable it to remain operational for weeks at a time.Seaspray 7500E radars also are used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (US CBP) in King Air 350ER Multi-role Enforcement Aircraft (MEA). The U.S. Coast Guard uses the radar for its HC-130H maritime patrol aircraft.
