PARIS, 21 June 2011. Officials of the Boeing Co. Commercial Airplanes segment in Seattle have announced 26 more passenger jetliner sales to airlines throughout the world, bringing the company's total aircraft sales so far at the 2011 Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France, to 82 jetliners -- 35 of them widebodies.
Boeing late yesterday and today announces passenger aircraft sales to MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, and Aeroflot Russian Airlines. The sales involved eight 777-300ER long-range widebody passenger jets, 17 737-800 narrow-body jetliners, and one 767-300ER widebody passenger jet.
The buyers were MIAT Mongolian Airlines in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA in Fornebu, Norway; and Aeroflot Russian Airlines in Moscow. Mongolian is buying two 737-800 aircraft and one 767-300ER widebody for $245 million at list price. Norwegian is buying 15 737-800s for $1.2 billion list price, as well as finalizing a previous sale of three 787 Dreamliners. Aeroflot, meanwhile, is buying eight Boeing 777-300ERs extended-range jumbo twinjets. No dollar figure for the Aeroflot deal was released.
