PARIS, 22 June 2011. Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal, the Canadian designer of small passenger and business jets, has received orders for 36 business and commercial jet aircraft this week, as well as options and purchase rights for another 26 aircraft, at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France. Aircraft involved in the sales are the Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets, the CSeries passenger jetliner.

On Tuesday Bombardier announced a deal with air charter service AvWest in Perth, Australia, for four Global 7000 and two Global 8000 long-range business jets. The deal is worth about $400 million based on list prices.

Also on Tuesday, Bombardier announced a deal with commercial airline Korean Air in Seoul, South Korea, for 10 CS300 passenger jets, as well as for 10 options and 10 purchase rights on this aircraft model.

Tuesday also saw Bombardier ink a deal with charter jet company VistaJet of Salzburg, Switzerland, for 10 Global 8000 long-range business jets. The VistaJet deal is worth about $650 million based on current list prices. VistaJet operates Bombardier aircraft exclusively, Bombardier officials say.

On Monday at Paris, Bombardier also made a deal with an unnamed commercial air carrier for 10 CS100 aircraft with options on an additional six of this model.

The Bombardier Global 7000 seats 10 passengers and has a maximum range of 7,300 nautical miles. The company's Global 8000 seats eight passengers and has a maximum range of 7,900 nautical miles. The Bombardier CS300 is a medium-range passenger jetliner that seats 130. The smaller Bombardier CS100 also is a medium-range jetliner that seats 110 passengers.
