Integrated Microwave Technologies (IMT), part of the Vitec Group’s Videocom Division and a maker advanced digital microwave systems for aerospace and defense, has unveiled its MobilCMDR two-way COFDM diversity handheld receiver. The MobilCMDR—designed for government applications, such as airborne downlinks and mobile vehicles that operate in tactical and/or strategic settings--is a ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) dual diversity handheld receiver/monitor.

Offering H.264 decoding and AES decryption capabilities, the unit displays received video images on a built-in nine inch high brightness display which also features an easy-to-use menu-driven interface.

Additional features include maximum ratio combining technology, on-screen display, Ethernet monitoring for remote control access, and IP encapsulation for Internet broadcast. It can deliver SD or HD (SDI) MPEG-2 video, comes equipped with a straightforward operating design and compact chassis with optional recording capabilities, and is available in S-Band and C-Band frequency ranges. The unite provides AES decryption capabilities well suited for applications ranging from public safety monitoring to covert surveillance.

With the MobilCMDR, multiple remote viewers can monitor the same video simultaneously. The administration software package also allows users to configure and store up to 16 custom preset configurations. The MobilCMDR employs AES encryption to prevent unauthorized viewing from decoding or eavesdropping.
