An Advanced Power Load Management System (APLMS) for small aircraft is being introduced by TE Connectivity in Harrisburg, Pa., at the Paris Air Show June 20–26 at their booth in Hall 2B, Stand 52. The system partners embedded microcontrollers and software together to manage automated power via data bus communication and control. Automated electrical load management from the TE system cuts down the workload on the flight crew in terms of managing the health and status of the aircraft's electrical network. With the APLMS the electrical system can be reconfigured automatically in case of a power failure or wiring problems. TOther features include the ability to monitor different power qualities and provide execute load shedding and fault isolation functions, while at all times providing status updates to the crew.In addition to small civil aircraft the APLMS can also be used in electric military vehicles. For more information, visit www.teconnectivity.com.
