Rugged smartphone launched by Thales for security forces

NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, France, 4 June 2011. Engineers at Thales have developed Every Talk, a rugged smartphone for security personnel that provides professional mobile radio (PMR) networks with broadband capabilities. PMR's evolution will include multimedia applications such as images, data, live feeds, video, database queries, and facial recognition -- all of which are provided in the the Thales Every Talk device.

Engineers at Thales have developed Every Talk, a rugged smartphone for security personnel that provides professional mobile radio (PMR) networks with broadband capabilities. PMR's evolution will include multimedia applications such as images, data, live feeds, video, database queries, and facial recognition -- all of which are provided in the the Thales Every Talk device.The new smartphone is part of the company's TeMax technology line that provides a an end-to-end broadband solution, including the network infrastructure -- core network and base station -- and now terminals. Every Talk enables users to access remote databases; send real-time video; download situational information including access maps and building floor plans; and share and download images as well as GPS positioning information.
