API Technologies wins $2.7 million in contracts for JCREW counter-explosive technology

ORLANDO, Fla., 20 July 2011. The Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)/SenDEC division of API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY), a provider of electronic systems, subsystems, RF, and secure solutions for the defense, aerospace, and commercial industries, won $2.7 million in new contracts to produce counter-explosive equipment circuit card assemblies for the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (JCREW) program.

The company provides solutions for the detection and disposal of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Bel Lazar, API Technologies' president and chief operating officer notes that the award brings value “to our soldiers and bomb squads, as well as the general public, in various locations across the world."
