Rugged USB connector that meets IEC-60529 and MIL-STD-810F introduced by Spectrum Advanced Specialty Products

FAIRVIEW, Pa., 3 July 2011. Spectrum Advanced Specialty Products in Fairview, Pa., is introducing a rugged USB connector for demanding, high stress military, communications, medical, industrial and computing applications. The rugged USB connector, which connects to USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports, meets military immersion and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) seal requirements. The rugged USB connector is a Type A, right-angle mounted connector with current ratings of 1.5 amps, a contact resistance to 30 milli-ohms, and an operating temperature range between -40 and 105 degrees Celsius.
