VME Master Oscillator that provides signals in advanced RF and microwave systems introduced by Crane

BEVERLY, Mass., 8 July 2011. The Crane Aerospace & Electronics Microwave Solutions segment in Beverly, Mass., is introducing the VME Master Oscillator to provide the signals necessary in advanced RF and microwave systems, company officials say. The power electronics device has four different output frequencies, an internal crystal reference, and built-in test functions. The VME Master Oscillator uses a low-noise, vibration-insensitive crystal oscillator that derives signal outputs.

The Crane Aerospace & Electronics Microwave Solutions segment in Beverly, Mass., is introducing the VME Master Oscillator to provide the signals necessary in advanced RF and microwave systems, company officials say. The power electronics device has four different output frequencies, an internal crystal reference, and built-in test functions.The VME Master Oscillator uses a low-noise, vibration-insensitive crystal oscillator that derives signal outputs. The four frequency outputs range from 10 to 1920 MHz. The unit also has a built-in test that indicates the signal output presence for each output through the VME bus.Crane Aerospace & Electronics provides components for aerospace and defense applications such as engines, landing gear, satellites, missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The company provides the brand names ELDEC, Hydro-Aire, Interpoint, Keltec, Lear Romec, Merrimac, P.L. Porter, and Signal Technology.
