The ATCA backplanes, which are compatible with MicroTCA, CompactPCI Serial, and VPX platforms, are made from FR4 material, and offer fast point-to-point connection between boards for internal and external communications.The ATCA backplane’s fabric channels consist of four ports, each with a 10-gigabit-per-second transfer rate per signal pair for defense, video broadcasting, video processing, telecommunications, and data communications applications. Schroff is a brand name of Pentair Technical Products.Features include system availability of at least 99.999 percent ; redundancy for failure safety; hot-swap capability; high-speed transfer; system data throughput as fast as 10 terabytes per second; backplane pairs that move data as fast as 10.3125 gigabits per second.
