ASIP is a next-generation, signals intelligence (SIGINT) sensor being built for the U.S. Air Force. It is designed to provide the warfighter enhanced signals intelligence capabilities, including the ability to detect, identify, and locate radar, communication, and other types of electronic signals.

Parker Aerospace personnel will deliver hardware for the ASIP systems on RQ-4 Global Hawk and U-2 reconnaissance aircraft later this year.

Part of Parker Aerospace’s thermal management systems (TMS) organization, in Liberty Lake, Wa., and Mentor, Ohio, is the former SprayCool (previously known as Isothermal Systems Research, or ISR), which Parker Aerospace acquired in 2010. The team specializes in liquid-cooled, environmentally sealed enclosure and cold plate products for harsh environments in defense, aerospace, and industrial applications, according to a company spokesperson.
