SRI Sarnoff wins U.S. Army contract to streamline Force Protection System Delivery Orders

PRINCETON, N.J., 20 Sept. 2011. SRI International Sarnoff won from the U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Natick Contracting Division a Force Protection Systems indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. The multi-award contract, with a three-year base and two-year option, has a potential maximum ceiling of $997 million over the complete five-year program. SRI and the SRI-led team will compete on delivery orders to supply Force Protection Systems—including variety of security, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, and ancillary services, such as training, installation, set-up, and maintenance—to armed forces and coalition partners in the integrated defense of military bases in the U.S. and abroad.
